Interested in the “real” Mexico? Love amazing food? I mean seriously amazing food? Stunning art crafts? Mexico history and Culture? Mezcal? Then, the City of Oaxaca (and surrounding area) is the place for you.
I’ve traveled in Oaxaca several times and always discover new and interesting places to see and dine. Also, if the world of Mezcal interests you, you will be very happy with almost unlimited artesian choices. This is a great place to experience some of the best Mexico has to offer.
And don’t get me started on the moles…The Oaxacan Mole Negro will transport your taste buds to another dimension. Seriously, another dimension. Oaxaca is known in Mexico for serving the finest moles in the country…along with a ton of other unique and awesome food.
To make the most of your visit, I highly recommend Suzanne Barbezat and her husband, Benito. She and her husband live in Oaxaca and are the experts on seeing and tasting everything. Highly recommended!
Here some pics from my travels there over the years with the family.
These pictures only scratch the surface of what it’s like to visit this area of Mexico. Enjoy.
